The survey contained 24 questions about digital pathology, such as their experience with digital pathology, types of cases, the equipment they use, CLIA requirements, how they are paid, comfort level with the technology, willingness to spend extra time reading remotely, and the pros and cons of the technology.

Based on the survey results from the "Digital Pathology Adoption and Practice Among Pathologists,"

  • 69.57% of respondents indicated they are open to adopting digital pathology.

  • A striking 62.5% of pathologists consider part-time digital pathology work post-retirement, highlighting digital pathology's flexibility and extended career opportunities.

  • Remarkably, 66.67% of respondents have already engaged in reading cases using digital pathology, showcasing its growing adoption and the potential to revolutionize diagnostic practices.

  • Over 50% of the respondents indicated they were interested in spending 5-10 hours per week reading cases remotely.

These insights reflect the current state of digital pathology adoption and signal a promising future for this technology in enhancing diagnostic accuracy, improving workflow efficiency, and fostering collaboration among pathologists.
